Torn between two Worlds
In the corner by the stairs
is an old rocking chair
that grandma used to sit in
while she did her knit-tin
hush now don’t you cry
we’ll get bye
you and I
sssh don’t cry
hush now go to sleep
it’s grandma’s turn to weep
well her good man has gone
during winter he passed on
he never done her wrong
he always had a song
in his heart a smile in his eye
hush now don’t you cry
we’ll get bye
you and I
sssh don’t cry
